The tools

Add Adjustment Layer
Select clips, click. One layer over a clip, one layer centered on every cut between several, or a layer at the playhead with nothing selected. Sized and placed for you.
Add Text
A text layer that already matches the length of your selection, on the track above it. Double-click and type.
Insert Space
Make room at the playhead. Everything downstream, on every track, shifts by the amount you set. Select several clips and it opens space at each cut.
Close Gaps
Closes only the gaps that are empty on every track, so B-roll, music, and sound effects protect the spacing they sit on. Whole sequence, or just between selected clips.
Stack Tracks
Stair-step selected clips onto their own tracks, video and audio together for easy syncing. Ten clips, ten tracks, one click.
Collapse Tracks
The reverse. Packs selected clips onto the fewest tracks their timing allows, never overwriting anything.
Clean Empty Tracks
Remove every video and audio track with nothing on it. Keeps V1 and A1.
Freeze Frame
A still of the frame under the playhead, saved next to your project, imported, and placed on the track above at the length you choose.
Paste Image
Copy an image anywhere, from a browser, a screenshot, a message, and paste it straight onto the timeline at the playhead. No save, no import.

How it works

Pick your tools.
Open Settings, drag the tools you actually use onto the bar, set your defaults: how many frames between cuts, how many seconds of space, how long a freeze frame lasts.
Park it by the timeline.
