Refund policy
The short version
- 7 days to request a refund on any paid plugin.
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method.
- Your license key is deactivated when the refund is issued.
- One refund per customer.
What's covered
Any paid AKV Studios plugin can be refunded within 7 days of purchase.
If a plugin doesn't work on your system and we can't get it working with you, you get a refund regardless of where you are in the window.
Before you request one
Most refund requests we see are install problems, and those usually take a few minutes to solve. Check the install guide and system requirements first, or send us a message with your Premiere Pro version and operating system. We'd rather fix it than refund it.
How to request a refund
Use the contact form, choose Billing, refund, or order issue, and include your order number. You don't need to give a reason, though telling us what went wrong helps us fix the product.
Requests are handled within one business day. The refund itself is issued to your original payment method and usually appears within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
What happens to your license
When a refund is issued, the license key for that plugin is deactivated and the plugin stops working. You'll need to remove it from any machine it's installed on.
Refunded keys can't be reactivated. If you want the plugin again later, you'll need to buy it again.
Limits
- One refund per customer. If you've been refunded before, later purchases are final.
- Requests after 7 days are outside the window, though you're welcome to ask if something unusual happened.
- Bundles are refunded as a whole, not as individual plugins.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. A refund is faster than a chargeback and we'll almost always just issue one. Licenses tied to a disputed order are deactivated the same way refunded ones are.
